I am writing in regard to our negotiations for a successor to the 2022- 2025 National Agreement. The parties have been engaged in negotiations for nearly a year. While we have made progress in many areas, we have not been able to reach an agreement on the terms of the successor contract.
As a result of this impasse in negotiations, the National Postal Mail Handlers Union is invoking the dispute resolution procedures outlined in the Postal Reorganization Act.
I have directed the Union's representatives to meet with your team to discuss the process that will be followed going forward.
